FAQs

Are you frustrated with the downward spiral of our nation and world’s problems?

Channel that frustration and angst to something creative, targeted, and impactful. We need more people activated to create meaningful and systemic change.

The country’s most difficult and pressing challenges—climate change, marine litter, poor public transportation system, food waste, poor health, rigid education system, rising poverty, and inequality—cannot be solved by myopic social enterprise solutions, programs, or organizations.

Addressing them requires change at the system level—changes in the ways people and organizations work and interact in an ecosystem of inter-relationships and complex causes-and-effects.

We believe that we can shape the future we deserve, so we’ve created a platform that equips leaders and founders with what they need to change our broken systems—not just their symptoms.

Future Shapers is an immersive systems change leadership incubation program for Filipino impact entrepreneurs, intrapreneurs, and leaders working on an existing venture, enterprise, or project that aspires to shape sustainable futures.

We want to make systemic change a reality for all of us, so Future Shapers will be handpicking 15 promising fellows from all over the Philippines to receive a scholarship worth Php 250,000.
They’ll participate in a 6-month hybrid program comprised of weeklong immersive residential sessions and online consultations. This all-expenses-paid program includes access to tools, trainings, specialized mentors, space, facilities, lodging, and transportation (for residents from outside Metro Manila).

Future Shapers can help launch your social venture forward:

Even if… you’re clueless about business or organisational strategy
Even if… you have no Unique Value Proposition yet
Even if… you’re unsure how to optimize and scale your operations

“You never change things by fighting against the existing reality.
To change something, build a new model that makes the old model obsolete.”

More Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Do we pay to be a Future Shaper?

No. Applying to be a Future Shaper and attending our live, experiential learning sessions in Manila are free. Transportation, accommodations, and meals will be provided for all fellows during live sessions and explorations.

What if we’re not profitable yet?
Your venture does not need to be profitable to join Future Shapers. You don’t even need to be a registered business yet. What matters is that you have a proof of concept or proven traction for 3 months.
How much help will we get?
Throughout the program, you will have access to expert mentorship by industry practitioners. They’ll be available in person during your sessions in Manila, as well as through online coaching sessions when you’re back home.
Does this include seed funding or grant money?
No, seed funding or grant money are not part of the perks included in the program, since Future Shapers is not a competition that reserves a prize for a single “winning” team/venture. Future Shapers aims to create wins for all participants and directs its focus on empowering all accepted leaders and founders through gamechanging education and mentor-guided application.
